David George is taking the Command Vehicle, a couple of command staff (search management types), radio people, and two teams of searchers to a multi team RTT exercise. They will meet the other HRM teams for a RTT focused mock search exercise (Eastern Shore, Sheet Harbour, and Musquodoboit Valley teams.)
Here’s what Daryl Hayes, one of the organizers, has to say about it: “Although we will be having a small mock search, the emphasis is to conduct a exercise that will test our RTT multi-team capability.  All teams will be given a RTT role and each team will provide radio communications for their teams.  Both Beta teams will provide Real Time Tracking and all radio operators will get an exposure to the RTT beta equipment. We will use the Real Time Tracking Tentative Standard Operating Procedure being circulated by the NSGSAR Radio committee as a test of that procedure.”
